New Delhi/Chandigarh (September 02, 2011): The central government of India has today clarified that no changes had been made in the norms of elections to the Sikh religious body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and that the exercise would be held according to schedule on September 18, 2011.
Fatehgarh Sahib (August 02, 2011): As per certain media reports the assailant of Dr. Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia got the attention of newly inaugurated Guru Granth Sahib University’s Vice Chancellor by calling him “VC Sahib” before firing at him. The assailant fired first round in air and second toward VC’s head, after grabbing attention by calling ‘VC Sahib, SSP of Fatehgarh Sahib, Ranbir Singh Khatra is reported to have told media persons.
