Amritsar, Punjab (May 15, 2013): The Dal Khalsa has submitted a memorandum requesting Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh to resolve the memorial row keeping collective will of the community and historical traditions in mind in the meeting of the high priests.
Amritsar, Punjab (May 7, 2013): The Dal Khalsa has asked the Akal Takht and other 4 Takht Jathedars’ to convene Sikh Conclave to thwart the proposed move by the Punjab Government to remove the inscription listing Sikh Nationalist leader Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s name from the “Yadgar” memorial erected in memory of those killed during army attack codenamed Operation Bluestar.
Amritsar, Punjab (May 06, 2013): The Sant Samaj, led by Damdami Taksal (Chowk Mehta) chief Baba Harman Singh, organized a march from headquarters of Damdami Taksal to Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and submitted a memorandum to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.
Amritsar (March 13, 2013): Sikh Rights group’s All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) launched a nationwide campaign “1984 – Yes, It’s Genocide” to collect “Million Signatures” in support of the Sikh “Genocide Petition” to be filed before the United Nations in November. A website (www.1984YesitsGenocide.org) is launched to connect the Sikh community worldwide to collect online signatures.

Amritsar/Punjab (September 30, 2012): All India Sikhs Students Federation (AISSF) has approached Sri Akal Takhat Sahib urging to issue directive declaring November 01 as “Sikh Genocide Day” and asking the community to commemorate the same internationally.
Vancouver, BC (September 12, 2012) – Indian Overseas Congress has declared that it wants all Khalistan insignia to be removed from Gurdwara’s in the United States and Canada. Indian Overseas Congress president, Vikram Bajwa, a Surrey resident and former candidate for mayor, has appealed to the Akal Takht to issue a “hukumnaama” (edict) banning Khalistan seals and flags from Gurdwara’s in the United States and Canada.
Amritsar (August 16, 2012): Dal Khalsa took exception to the latest decision of Jathedars’ of Five Takht’s, in which they had proclaimed that “non-historical gurdwaras can be shifted to another place as per the need and requirement of local people”.
Amritsar, Punjab (August 16, 2012): As per news reports Jathedars of four Takhats, other than Sri Akal Takhat, have endorsed to the clean chit given to Dera Radha Swami Beas on the issue of dismantling of a Gurdwara at Waraich. The decision of endorsement has come after a meeting of five Jathedars held on August 15, 2102 at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar.
Amritsar, Punjab (August 03, 2012): There are reports that Giani Gurbachan Singh is allegedly blamed the Shriomani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC). Actually, Jathedar Akal Takhat is facing criticism from all sides for giving a clean chit to Radhsoami Dera Beas in demolition of Gurdwara in Waraich village in Amritsar therefore he is reporteredly taking U-turn in this matter.
