London, Punjab (June 06, 2013): Tens of thousands of Sikhs will gather in London on Sunday 9 June to mark the 29th anniversary of the Indian army attack on the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar in June 1984.
New Delhi, India (May 31, 2013): It is learnt that an Indian politician Jagdish Tytler has moved the Delhi high court against the trial court’s decision to reopen investigation against him in a November 1984 Sikh massacre related case against him. This case relates to the brutal killings of three innocent Sikhs.
Leicester, United Kingdom (May 25, 2013): According to certain media reports a second bid to create a Sikh free school in Leicester has been successful. The Department for Education reportedly announced on May 22, 2013 that proposals by nine Sikh Gurdwara leaders had been accepted.

Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwale protested on May 14, 2013 against acquittal of Sajjan Kumar at AmritsarAmritsar, Punjab (May 15, 2013): It is learnt that on May 14, 2013 members and activists of Sikh Youth Federation (Bhinderanwale) took out a march in protest against the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, one of the organizers of Sikh genocide 1984.
According to certain media reports the screening of Bollywood release was cancelled at several theatres in the state of Punjab. Screening of John Abraham’s “Shootout at Wadala” has reportedly been cancelled at Ludhiana, Moga, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Amritsar and Moga on May 06, 2013 after an organization named “Bhartiya Valmiki Dharam Samaj” raised objections on two particular dialogues in the movie .
New Delhi, Indian (May 01, 2013): It is learnt that the Supreme Court of India (SCI), that had refused to commuted the death punishment announced by Indian courts against a Sikh political prisoner – Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, has now commuted the death sentence of another death row convict named Mahendra Nath Das to life sentence.

London, United Kingdom (April 14, 2013): Thousands of Sikhs from across the UK are expected to protest and lay siege outside the High Commission of India on Monday 15 April between 12 noon and 2pm following the decision by the Supreme Court of India on Friday 12 April that Professor Davinderpal Singh Bhullar should be put to death by hanging.
