Amritsar (August 30, 2011): Dal Khalsa slams the Union government for rejecting the proposal to implement the provisions of Anand Marriage Act, lying defunct since the India adopted the present Constitution in 1950.
Ludhiana (August 29, 2011): The American Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (ASGPC) has made an appeal to Sikhs voting for the upcoming Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections for a written promise from candidates contesting elections that they would promote religious agenda of the Sikh nation.
Amritsar (August 25, 2011): Applying all foul and unfair means, the Dal Khalsa alleged that Shiromani Akali Dal was luring and threatening the candidates belonging to Panthic Morcha to ensure their withdrawal from the poll arena by Aug 26, the last date of withdrawal of nomination papers for the September 18 SGPC elections.

New York (August 18, 2011): The New York City Council yesterday enacted a law – initiated by the Sikh Coalition – that will significantly enhance religion-based protections for employees working in New York City. Council Member Mark Weprin (D-Queens) is the law’s primary sponsor.

THousands launched civil disobedience move to secure release of Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar | read this item Delhi (July 15, 2011): Thousands of Sikhs from North India attended Justice Rally and launched “Civil Disobedience Movement” at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to secure the release of Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar. A Letter Writing Campaign addressed to President of India demanding release of Professor Bhullar was launched. Participants of the rally appealed to every member of Sikh Nation to send at least one letter to the President of India to save Bhullar’s life.
