Amritsar, Punjab (July 14, 2012): The Khalsa action Committee (KAC) has convened a meeting to discuss the issue of Journalist Kuldip Nayar’s controversial autobiography ‘Beyond the Lines’, in which he made any baseless and highly controversial claims regarding respectable Sikh personalities and organizations.
The book has landed Nayar in a controversy for his references and remarks about Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala, Bhai Amrik Singh and Sikh organization named Dal Khalsa.
In a press release issued yesterday the KAC Convener Bhai Mohkam Singh said a meeting of panthic organizations, religious groups and political parties shall be held on 20th of July at Bhai Gurdas Hall, Amritsar to discuss the strategy to be adopted regarding baseless allegations and incorrect information published in the book.
Bhai Mohkam Singh said that Kuldip Nayar has hurt Sikh sentiments with his baseless accusations on Sikh personalities and the campaign to malign Sikh personalities need to be tackled.
It is pertinent to mention here that Kuldip Nayar in his autobiography has termed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala as the Agent of Congress and Bhai Amrik Singh an agent of the IB. Nayar had also indicated that Dal Khalsa was created with the active help of Giani Zail Singh.
“He has been declared a martyr by Akal Takht and his photograph has been installed in Central Sikh Musuem. A campaign to malign Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala cannot be tolerated”, the KAC Convener added.
