Amritsar, Punjab (July 31, 2012): As per media reports the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Commtitee (SGPC) has suspended Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia, vice chancellor of Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, on charges of irregularities on Tuesday. Certain media sections have quoted SGPC General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhaur saying that “J. S. Ahluwalia is suspended on charge of committing various irregularities and charge-sheet would be served to him soon “.

On the evening of July 29, 2012 Manmohan Singh, SP (HQ) visited the spot where the incident had taken place and recovered camera-mic with Sangat TV logo and some personal belongings of Baljeet Singh that were left left on the day of incident when dera mob comprising around more than two hundred armed men attacked the reporter.
