Akal Takhat tell Sikh organizations to give suggestion on Balwant Singh Rajoana; Meeting on 23 March

Amritsar, Punjab (March 20, 2012): Five Singh Sahibs, Jathedars of five Sikh Takhats, have directed all the Sikh organizations to present their views and suggestions, in writing, that what should be Panthic move regarding death sentence awarded to Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana.
Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh told that five Singh Sahib have decided to take input from various Sikh organizations. He was addressing the media persons after holding meeting with other Singh Sahibs at Akal Takhat Secretariat.
‘All Sikh organizations are directed to send their suggestions before March 23, 2012 at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib on various aspects of the issue including the possibility of using legal options’ he informed.
“We shall take notice of all the suggestions that we receive and shall decide the future course of action on 23 March during a meeting that would be held at Teja Singh Samundi Hall.” Giani Gurbachan Singh told media persons.
Akal Takhat Jathedar has further directed the Gurudwara management committees across the globe to begin Akhand Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib on March 23 and perform prayers on March 25 for the high spirits of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana.
Akal Takhat Jathedar also warned miscreant elements against issuing offers to act as hangman for Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. It is notable that Hindutva organization Shiv Sena’s Punjab president Sanjeev Tandon had submitted a memorandum to Punjab government authorities offering to act as hangman for executing Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana.

Balwant Singh Rajoana is perfectly happy to be hanged and I think the Panth should support him. But the last thing we should do is let someone who will enjoy hanging him hang him, because that would make them happy.
I do think, though, that we should protest just to show that his life means a lot to us and that the Sikh race is still living.

He wants to become shaheed because he has no faith in the india justice system, therefore we overturn the justice system and free him through the spirit of the khalsa. First all tactis are used of diplomacy through the of letters, then protests, when all else fails and he will be hanged is when KHALSA should resort to the sword, this is how it has also been I hope this is how it till be on March 31st so usi sikh have not lost the way of the khalsa! Really it’s quite simple, I’ll help you ascertain some clarity on this matter.
Bhai Balwant Singh has served his time for his ‘crime’. The Indian Government’s decision to award him the death penalty is unjust. When injustice occurs at this astronomical level the masses need to act. We as humans first and Sikhs second have a duty to act. The death of Bhai Balwant Singh cannot take place on 31st March 2012.

Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana is certainly, a true, pure, fierce and strong sikh. Whom myself respects his courage, and devotion towards our religion. We should take nothingless rather protest, and show the government, decision is us who makes. He did what he did, which was right, and fair. balwant singh committed a serious crime. he killed several people whilst aiming to assasinate beant singh (1 person) it is an act of terrorism and he needs to be punished. if he himself is accepting the death penalty, who are we to stop him. the facts are there and the governement are not going to go against their decision, the law and religion both say if you sin, you will be punished. he is happily accepting this as it is the correct thing to do.

Lets insult everything that Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana is standing up for by asking for mercy and filing petitions for his release. Politicians/Activists/FB activists are all crying hoarse wanting to attach their public sympathies with the issue while refusing to acknowledge the higher truth that Bhai Rajoana is proclaiming….there is no difference between living and dying while fighting against injustice while immersed in the love of Guru. We are projecting our own weak conscience on him and disrespecting everything that he is trying to say to our long-dead souls. On being asked about Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar case, he had said …’meri vaari nazaara vakhra hi hovega……’ and he is showing us why……..

What is happening is too insane. Kashmiri CM never dare to ignore issues like this thats the reason centre would never hang anyone from that community. Instead of local spread of this emotionfull bad news, we need to have some lobbying in UN and on international stage, just to put more light on 84 bloodshed & present justice system. or follow tibetan style of sacrifices.

I am totally against execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. In India only our sikhs face this type of situations.why they left free all the murderers of 84 sikh riots in india. If those criminals have right to live thier lives happily in this country then why not bhai sahib, who just took this decision due to his high spirit.
