New Delhi (September 26, 2011): The Supreme Court of India has declined further adjournment of hearing plea of sentence conversion/reduction for Professor Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, who is facing execution threat in India. The court today pulled up death row convict Devender Pal Singh Bhullar’s counsel for seeking repeated adjournments and blaming government for delay in carrying out the execution of the capital punishment.
Amritsar (September 27, 2011): AISSF demanded that Punjab Government lead by SAD (Badal) should immediately ask Delhi Administration to transfer Prof. Bhullar who is admitted in a Hospital while waiting to be executed, to a facility in his homeland Punjab. AISSF also demanded that SAD (Badal) regime should stop defending the police officers responsible for the disappearance of Professor Bhullar’s father and uncle.

Sweet of the US Federal Court for the Southern District of New York heard arguments in Sikh Genocide case against Kamal Nath for his role in leading a mob which attacked Gurdawara Rakab Ganj Delhi on November 01, 1984 in which many Sikhs were burnt alive. In today’s hearing, Kamal Nath failed to produce “Statement of Interest” from US Department of State in support of his claim to Diplomatic Immunity.

Sikhs are protesting against PM’s Singh’s Government’s policy of impunity towards Congress (I) leaders who organized and participated in the killing of Sikhs during November 1984.
