Bhai Daljeet Singh Bittu, Chairman of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Panch Pardhani was produced before regualr Magistrate here by Mansa Police as one day police remand given by duty magistrate of Mnasa ended. Magistrate after considering pleas of police and Adovcate Ajit Singh Bhangu, council for Bhai Bittu, refused to extend the police remand and directed the police to Send Bhai Bittu to Bathinda Jail.

Sikh Youth of America has strongly condemned the arrest of Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) chairman Daljit Singh and his associates and said it was a strategy of the Punjab Government not to allow the party to work within a democratic framework.
